Nokia lawsuit against Apple

Apple has infringed patents on mobile phone technology that are being used in the iPhone. The alleged Nokia patents that have been “stolen” include those for GSM, and wireless LAN standards.

Considering that the iPhone has had a continually-growing user base since its launch in 2007, it seems like Nokia is trying to cash in on that success and grab a piece of the revenue generated by the high number of iPhone handsets sold.

Looks like Nokia isn’t really interested in finding out the reason behind customers switching out from using their handsets or maybe Nokia is considering any coverage on this lawsuit as publicity to generate interest among users and potential smartphone buyers, and get them to think get iPhone like technology for the Nokia pricing.
